If you decide to take classes online, you will also need to get training in how to use email to communicate with your students. You will need to be able to answer questions, advise students on their needs, and even help them get online. You will also be required to be aware of changes in technology as it becomes more widespread.
As a teacher, you should have good sense of humor. You should not be afraid to joke around with your students. When you take the time to interact with your students, they will appreciate it and be more likely to want to continue working with you.
Taking classes on the internet does not have to be a stress or a fun part of your life. Just keep in mind that it takes time to develop the skills needed to be successful. Do not feel like you have to rush through the training courses.
Take your time and work hard. Then, when you finally get hired, you will be very pleased with your accomplishment. Just because you are online does not mean that you cannot earn a living.
